American Snout Butterfly

Libytheana carinenta

Description:

A small butterfly, with enlarged labial palps that give the appearance of a snout.

Habitat:

Deciduous forest

Notes:

Not my best picture, but this is my first Snout Butterfly ever. I tried to get close, but it would just take off and land farther away. Spotted along Camp Gifford Road
