Description:

About 12mm in length, with very powerful jaws; blue eyes, head and thorax red with a slight green sheen, elytra metallic green with a pale patch at the tips; limbs, antennae, and mandibles light brown. Very fast runner and good flier.

Habitat:

Tropical rainforest in the Ecuadorian Amazon region.
