Black-bellied Whistling Duck

Dendrocygna autumnalis

Description:

Spotted these guys again this morning. Look how big the ducklings got! I am so excited I was able to get another shot of the group with them looking more like juveniles now. Looks like the whole dozen has made it so far! Related spottings: http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/685... and http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/690...

Notes:

Back drainage canal where normally seen is flooded from heavy rains from Lee. They were spotted on one of the higher spots of land surrounding the drainage canal.
