My nephew spotted this tiny juvenile Southern Alligator Lizard while we were walking in the Miller-Knox Regional Shoreline trail, Point Richmond, CA. It was only about 3 inches long.

Ana: I did not see the abdomen. But I think Jim might be correct, the juvenile Elgaria multicarinata photos I have been reviewing look more like the lizard I spotted. Thanks Jim.
