Spotted this California Ladybug eating aphids while I was walking in the Miller-Knox Regional Shoreline, Point Richmond, CA. There were several larvae eating nearby too. I am not sure if the larvae are for the same species.

This ladybird beetle is much more convex than the other species. A dark spot may be present where the wing covers meet. Two distinct, unconnected white blotches between the eyes and on either side of the thorax distinguish it from the Nine-spotted Ladybird Beetle (C. novemnotata). http://www.bugpeople.org/taxa/Coleoptera...
