Sharp-scaly Pholiota

Pholiota squarrosoides

Description:

Caps are 2−10 cm across, convex to flat, with a low knob, slimy when wet & densely scaly, with tan scales on a white to buff background. Normally fruits in clusters.

Habitat:

Base of a living tree in shaded woods.

Notes:

With a harvestmen(Opiliones) on top.
