Western Skink

Plestidon skitanianus

Description:

Appears to be a juvenile with bright blue tail, about 4 in long & very slender

Habitat:

Pine forest at edge of Oregon's High Desert

Notes:

It skittered across our camp site in the middle of the afternoon of a 90 + degree day & hid under the doormat. Didn't stay around for more pictures after we pulled the mat back!

Beautiful! Please consider adding it to the "Reptiles of the Pacific Northwest" mission! The only skink we have in Oregon, I believe!
