Magnolia tree

Description:

Gorgeous, large and beefy white/pink flowers. I think it's a cherry, but bark of this tree makes me think not . Anyone?

Habitat:

There are 2 of these on one street that I'm on 5 days a week, commuting to work.

Thanks KristalWatrous, I miss-typed before and have now corrected it... I was thinking it was a cherry but the bark did NOT lean me in that direction. But your definitely right, it's a Magnolia, I would have never known, I've never known what they look like! Thanks again...
