Philippine Trogon

Harpactes ardens

Description:

We got this handsome trogon during our field sample at Mt. Balatukan, Gingoog, Misamis Oriental, Philippines.

Habitat:

Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests and subtropical or tropical moist montane forests.

Notes:

This is one of my favorite birds. Although they were so fragile. We then release it after we got its biometrics and after we tag it.

yeah it was really an amazing bird... while we keep it in our bag this bird produces a cat cry sound that really amaze me. And you will know that he is stress because it will start to shed its feathers one by one..
