Description:

Brown butterfly with prominent eyespots and 2 small stripes on the fore edge of each forewing. Underside of wings slightly reddish. Possibly newly emerged, as the front wing tips were slightly bent forward and the butterfly seemed to still be figuring out how to fly.

Habitat:

Grassy area of a neighborhood park. Shrubs and trees surrounding the periphery of the park.
