Sandhill Crane

Grus canadensis

Habitat:

Marshy field.

Notes:

I have seen these two Sandhill Cranes wading through the marsh intermittently. I think they are making the rounds of the swampy areas each morning. The one car that went by came to a full stop to wait for them when they were on the edge of the road. Also, I think that is a Snowy Egret in the foreground of a couple of the photos, but I could not get a better shot of it.
