Wonderful Nest!

Resembles a bald-faced hornet's (Dolichovespula maculata http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bald-faced_...) nest (http://www.whatsthatbug.com/2011/09/14/b...) and the range is right. So maybe but not positively...
