Great Egret

Ardea alba

Description:

The Great White Egret is a large, white bird of the egret/heron type with a yellow bill and black legs. This one was perched in a large oak tree. It must have been resting as the tree did not afford a water view.

Habitat:

Spotted in a local bird sanctuary.
