Obrimus uichancoi
Adult Female of this Phasmid, probably the first Adult Female to be found in the wild. Description of this specie by Rehn & Rehn in 1939 was based on a single sub-Adult specimen.
Tropical forest at altitude ranging from 1,000 - 1,400 meters above sea level. In captivity, she feeds on mango & guava leafs. At lower altitude of 1,000 masl nearer to a river, they tend to seem to have keep a greenish skin whereas individuals found at higher altitude away from the river shows shades of brownish skin.
This is my second trip to this unknown mountain in Bay-yo, Mt. Province. Again, only Females were seen during the night walk, not a Single Male. There is a possibility this specie has become parthenogenetic in this area or even as a specie.
