fairy barf

Icmadophila ericetorum

Description:

creeping lichen of medium green with improbably pink globby bumps scattered about

Habitat:

Growing on dead wood, probably fir. This sample was identified and shown at the Mt Pisgah Mushroom Show, but was collected in Lane County, Oregon.

Notes:

I am not kidding: This is the name that was on the identification card. Really apt.
