Kalpak, noctuidae is a family of moths: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Noctuidae. It's a place to start, but I'm sure you can find your moth's exact species armed with that, and where you found it.

At first I thought Catocala, because of the underwings, but it's more likely a noctuid. Similar looking ones here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/sachingurul...
