This nest was right alongside a section of the Farmington River that is a popular fishing spot ~ hence the fishing line incorporated into the nest.

This is lovely. There's a cool book just out about birds nests called Avian Architecture by Goodfellow. I've mentioned this in several posts, not because I own stock in the publishing house (I don't), or because I know the author (I don't), but because it's REALLY interesting and well done.
