Aesculus hippocastanum
Tall and stout tree with large compound leaves and attractive flowers, arranged in erect panicles some 30cm tall and produced in spring (April-May). Flowers are white with a yellow to pink blotch at the base of the petals.
Originating from Balkans, it was commonly used as ornamental tree all over the world. Here, observed on English countryside north of London.
It has some use in medicine.
