Moth-like insects related to moths and butterflies, but are Trichoptera. mating (approx. 1/2 inch)
Outside my front door in the Poconos
One of these insects got in the house and I measured it because it was cooperative. It is only 1/2 inch.
I think, by the size and the color, these are northern casemakers (Family Limnephilidae). Nice photos!

These are caddisflies, Trichoptera.They do not share the same order as moths but they are very closely related.
