hopper

Description:

A tiny unidentified hopper, possibly a nymph (see Notes).

Habitat:

Observed on this beach mahogany (Calophyllum inophyllum) http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/705...... in a large semi-urban yard & garden, and near a patch of disturbed remnant forest.

Notes:

This spotting taken on the same tree and at the same time as the previous spotting http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/789... but because the abdominal appendages appear different on the present spotting it may represent a different age or species. There is a scale insect present in the 2nd photo.

No Chun, it is beach mahogany (Calophyllum inophyllum). See habitat for a link to the actual plant (tree).

You used a Mealy bug as a scale, then it is pretty small.
Is that a banana leaf at the background.
