I had thought maybe a Peck's skipper but the the pattern doesn't match exactly. This link will take you to a list of the butterflies of Texas, if you look at the Hesperiidae Skippers you will see a list of all the species in your area - unfortunately there are a lot! Actually a skipper butterfly! There area few similar species so I will try to get you the correct ID.
