Description:

A large cricket infected with Cordyceps, a parasitic fungi, the mycelium invades and eventually replaces the host tissue. The fruiting bodies protrude out of the insect after killing it.

Habitat:

montane rainforest, 1000m

Notes:

I spotted this in the forest near Amboro National Park.
