Ta Ta Lizard/Gilbert's Dragon

Lophognathus gilberti

Description:

A beautiful light gray lizard. It has a white underbelly and quite a long tail. Probably the most interesting thing is when it stops running it "waves" its front leg (in action picture 1)

Habitat:

Scrub land behind sand dunes at Cable Beach.

Notes:

I only just saw your id now. Thank you for identifying this little guy Scott Frazier! A unique characteristic of this little dragon is the waving of one of its forefeet when it stops running.
