Description:

A common backyard feeder bird... this one was scratching around in the grass and leaves looking for food. Song is the infamous "tea kettle" call, usually followed by some buzzy chatter. Carolina wrens are increasing their range northward, a sign of increasing winter temperatures.

Habitat:

Mixed forests and suburban backyards.
