Turtle Tracks in Mud

Description:

Not having seen the creature that left these interesting impressions in the mud puddle along the road, I cannot say with 100% certainty however I do believe these to be turtle tracks. Making the id to the species is probably impossible, but if I had to guess I would say probably Eastern Box Turtle based on the tight little pattern made by the feet and the clean drag mark left by the tail.

Notes:

Spotted in a mud puddle along Gilbert Rd / Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield
