Notocactus schlosseri
Barrel shaped cactus with vertical rows of spines. Annual display of flowers with bright yellow waxy looking petals and strong orange-red centres. Flowers last approx 1 week max.
Gardens.
Not my usual thing in NOAH but I've had this cactus for 15 years now and at this time of year it makes me smile.

Hmm.. maybe, yes because of the climate.
okay, now poor cactus will be treated the way it is supposed to be, till it gets is tiny beautiful yellow flowers. they look lovely... :)
ArushiMisra...maybe it's your climate (light).... these flowers just keep coming every year by themselves.
As much as I hate to say it , this would be my most neglected plant !!!
I do nothing at all. I can only recommend to treat it like a cactus.

The petals in these are beautifully translucent like wax so you're right Clive the light seems to be inside.
