Ambystoma maculatum
Black mole salamander with rows of yellow spots down its back that vary in size. This specimen was about 3 inches long. Found in a basement, but they usually reside in damp areas outside. They are a burrowing, nocturnal species with poison glands just behind their head - this poison is not harmful to humans and is milky white in color.
