Grey Cracker Butterfly

Hamadryas februa

Description:

This butterfly was about 3" or more wide. I only had time to get one photo before it took off. It was sitting on a Guanacaste Tree and wouldn't let me get closer than 10 feet before flying off each time.

Habitat:

Tropical dry forest in NW Costa Rica one month into the six month dry season.
