Hornworm
Looks very like the hornworms I have to pick off the tomatoes in my garden.
The cassava hornworm Erynnis ello (Lepidoptera: Sphingidae), represents a potential threat to commercial plantings of this crop, as it can generate losses in yield of up to 64% depending on crop stage at which this the attack and the magnitude of it. This pest is dispersed throughout all the states where cassava is grown.
