Hemidactylus frenatus
A hatchling Asian house gecko undergoing its first molt, presumably just a few days after hatching. The species is a ubiquitous roommate (human commensal) along with H. platyurus and Gekko vittatus at this location.
Found in the house in a semi-urban neighborhood of houses, gardens and a patch of disturbed remnant forest.
I was about to pour water into my mug which I'd previously filled with a powdered drink mix and there was this little guy! While 2 other species inhabit our house, it seems most likely H. frenatus.

Very cute! I wouldn't mind having these guys as house guests & I assume they pay their way by consuming unwanted bugs!
Nice! It looks as if he is wearing gloves and a forage cap.
great colors for a house gecko! You know what I always say...better to spot in your hand than your mouth!
