Description:

A medium-sized eagle. As a juvenile, its plumage is covered by white spots, which by the time it turns into an adult fade leaving dark brown feathers.

Habitat:

Lowland forests near wetlands. It nests in tall trees and hunts in swaps and wet meadows. During migration and in winter, it visits deserts, shrubland, wetlands, mangroves, places with shallow water.
