Trumpet bluebells

Mertensia longiflora


A perennial herb in the borage family. About 30 - 35 cm tall with a hanging cluster of small trumpet shaped blue flowers.


Spotted next the Umtanum creek. It is native to western North America from British Columbia to California to Montana, where it grows in several types of habitat.
