I don't think so Gene. I wish you were right, since it would be a rarity, but we don't have grackles where I live. This is just a normal male Brewer's Blackbird. The tail is not particularly long or wide like a grackle's. There were lots of other blackbirds and cowbirds in this large mixed-species flock.
