Description:

Also known as Ghost plant it is native to temperate regions of North America, Asia. .

Habitat:

This plant contains no chlorophyll. It is parasitic and its hosts are certain fungi that receives it energy from photosynthetic trees and does not require sunlight.

hi, its actually a plant - look for : crystal orchid or indian pipe. good luck

@HansNew, Many thanks! That's it an Indian Pipe -it's not a fungus. It has always appeared after a rain along with mushrooms, so I made the incorrect assumption.

I'll have to change the mission. Thanks again.
