Eastern red bat

Lasiurus borealis

Description:

Orange bat with dark gray patagium/wings.

Notes:

The bat is alive, but wounded. Not sure how badly yet, but I am sure one of my cats is the culprit.

No I haven't yet, I just found it about an hour ago. I was gonna go check on it again in a few... It gets upset when I'm close, so I didn't want to bother it too much right now. But I know I need to make sure he gets better. So thanks for the reference!! I'll look someone up.

Have you taken it to a licensed wildlife rehabber?
You can find a list of the ones in your area here http://www.mswildliferehab.org/
