It is a snake of robust body and tail is relatively short. It has small and little prominent head, and the sharp nose. Reaches an average length of 157 cm, being slightly older than males females.
He lives in the Iberian peninsula and the Mediterranean regions of France. Outside these areas, it is also in Menorca.
