Description:

Family: Limacodidae (Slug Moths). Length: .75 inches (19.05 mm). Beige with pinkish/red border at the bottom of the caterpillars. 2 star-like spikes. Feeds on variety of deciduous trees including apple, dogwood, elm and oak. In first photo, head is to the right. In second photo, head is to the left.
