Unknown Tiny Moth

Description:

The tiniest moths I have ever seen. Only around 2mm in size, they looked like little shiny specks on my moth sheet. Upon looking at the images afterwards, I discovered that these tiny moths were gems with an iridescent rainbow of color on their tiny wings! Their little heads look like a punk buzz cut, black with a white collar.

Habitat:

Suburban yard. Attracted to a blacklight.

Notes:

Any help with an ID would be great.

Wow! wish I could ID it - have you considered talking to your local County resources. They can be quite helpful - or point you to a local person to id it. Good luck!
