Cerastium glomeratum
A small herbaceous 'weed' often ignored or trampled on. It has small white flowers with the five petals deeply lobed. The stem and buds are covered with hairs making the plant quite sticky. The leaves are small ovate and arranged in pairs opposite each other and alternate up the stem.
Seen everywhere -lawns, open grasslands, roadside and any disturbed area. A native of Africa, Europe and West asia, this plant is naturalised in Australia, Lord Howe Island and Norfolk Island.
A herbaceous annual which spreads around the ground or can stand up to 20 cm. Family: Caryophyllaceae
