The domestic turkey was bred from the wild turkey. Almost became the national bird for the United States but lost to the Bald Eagle by one vote. Males are toms and females are hens and juveniles are poults. They roost in trees at night, have excellent hearing. Males can have up to 20 females in their harem. This spotting is a female with 3 juveniles.
