Carolina anoles

Anolis carolinensis

Description:

I saw these two anoles looking at each other, while the brown one is one of the offspring of the much larger green one, which is the adult.I have observed many smaller anoles all over the yard which are nymphs.I will also include that the adult in the picture above is the same one from my older spotting of the carolina anole.

Habitat:

Eastern United states, and, west to Texas.

Notes:

Kingdom: Animalia Status;least concerned half the tail was broken at one time Phylum: Chordata Class: Reptilia Order: Squamata Suborder:Iguania Family: Dactyloidae Genus: Anolis Species: Anolis carolinensis
