Description:

Very noisy. Emits varied sounds, clucks, whistles and pitched squeals. In good light conditions plumage shines blue violet hues in head and black blue in the body. This specimen is a female or a juvenile.

Habitat:

Southern United Statesto northwest of Peru. In Mexico throughout the country except Baja California
