Specious Tiger Moth

Aganais ficus

Description:

Middle size body. Whole body is yellow in color, Forewing is brown with a white eyespot at centre. Hindwing, yellow in color. Wingspan about 6 cm.

Habitat:

Forest openings, attracted to bright light.

Notes:

Belongs to Family-Noctuidae, Genus-Aganainae. According to the Natural History Museum (London), species name is given as the correct current name as Asota ficus.
