Thank you, Kevin!
This sure grabbed my attention! I was at an educational nature center for a morning bird walk, stuck around to paint & took a hike along a couple of trails.
I've never seen so many kinds of fungi in just one day. This one takes the prize
for impact!
It certainly is a beauty!
Not sure--it is in a local educational center; sounds as if it had been owned by a family and given to the program....(??) Definitely not injured. Appeared very robust. Was told it was a Ethiopian tortoise of some kind, can't remember the specific name.
Spectacular!! WOW!
Dear S Frazier,
Thank you for the correction. I posted this as "other" because it was not an organism per se; not because it was "unknown". I am part of a mission of Hives, Bowers, Nests, etc. and wasn't sure how to post. I work diligently to research my posts to avoid the "unknown" category.
I appreciate your insight and help. Thanks.
Thank you SO much, Brian! I've been searching and searching....
I appreciate your help. Now I can sleep!
