I think it's probably an immature coop. But it's definitely in the genus accipiter.

Yea, it was immediately apparent it was a bad guess. It had a habit of growing in a similar way, and has fringes on the leaves, but the leaves on strawberries are less round and grow in threes. I really could figure the mystery out so it was a wild guess.
