Sign In to followThanks for the help! After some internet investigating, I deduced it must be a jumping spider of some kind. Just the structure of the body and the way it behaved were my clues. I have not been able to find one with the same coloration and markings. Because of where it was located (Lowe's hardware), I knew it could be from anywhere China to the US.

Looks like this to me, still I am not an expert. I did have one in my pool, it was fat, black and when it opened it's mouth it was white.
This is not a cotton mouth. This snake is non venomous.
