A worldwide community photographing and learning about wildlife
I'm a naturalist in a sense. I will only post what I photograph in it's natural environment.
West Seattle, Wa.
can't be sure of the exact name dure to the decay but I am 99.9% positive it is a mamber of the Lepiota family.
this is in a somewhat advanced stage and begining to decay but I believe it is still able to be identified. Will check my book for New York, the center of the cap should be enough to get an ID.
no, probably an escapee from a residential planting. We have it here in Washington too.
it definately is Bamboo !!!!
I love the Cladonia's .... I just found a great Lichen ID page for my area and was surprised to find out that we have 11 types of Cladonia growing here. I have a new personal mission to find them all.
i have a dwarf Cymbidium that looks almost exactly like this ......... but lip does look more size appropriate for Lycaste.
it's brilliant for fungi!!!!!
looks almost like Amanita muscaria "white cap form" but would need a closer picture to confirm.
Welcome to Project Noah ..... will be watching for more great spottings.
very nice ...... an adult and juvenile. Great spotting.
