It is a robber fly - sorry I can't help you past that point. Beautiful shots!
Fuzzy photo makes it kind of hard to tell, but I think I see a long proboscis, which would make this Adejeania vexatrix.
Definitely a Weidemeyer's, which are common around here in the summer. Lorquin's would be way out of range here, and much more orange underneath.

The Karner Blue is one of the subspecies of the Melissa Blue, which this is. The Karner is only found around the Great Lake states, though. Nice photo!
Pic is a little blurry, but based on boldness of color and location, I'm pretty confident on my ID above.
