Madison7 Mallard
Mallard commented on by Madison7 Αποκεντρωμένη Διοίκηση Μακεδονίας - Θράκης, Greece7 years ago

Males are usually the most colorful sex because females are more likely to be attracted to bright colors. Males must compete for the chance to mate with them.

Thanks for the insight!

Madison7 Sea Otter
Sea Otter commented on by Madison7 Kodiak, Alaska, USA7 years ago

It is terrible to think these otters are endangered. Habitat destruction and water pollution puts these animals at great risk, especially because they are so specialized.

Rufous Hummingbird - Female commented on by Madison7 Utah, USA7 years ago

So incredible! On average, these guys can flap their wings about 53 beats per second. Your shots really capture how fast these guys move.

Madison7 Grizzled giant squirrel

This is a really cool picture. I noticed its long tale and was curious to why it has such a long tale.

Madison7 Orange-legged leaf frog
Orange-legged leaf frog commented on by Madison7 GO, Brazil7 years ago

This is such a beautiful frog! I don`t know much about frogs, but I do know that sometimes bright colors are used to warn other organisms. Brightly colored creatures are often times poisonous, so I was curious if this one was poisonous or not.

Madison7 Red Deer
Red Deer commented on by Madison7 Lelystad, Flevoland, Netherlands7 years ago

That is an incredible picture of an incredible creature. These species of deer are large and are very majestic. Awesome picture to capture the serenity of the life of a deer (until a predator or hunter comes into the picture).

Madison7 Horned ghost crab
Horned ghost crab commented on by Madison7 จังหวัดกระบี่, Thailand7 years ago

The strong hairy legs of this animal make it run very fast and it is capable of reaching speeds of about 10 miles per hour. This makes this crab the fastest among all crustaceans.

Madison7 Blister Beetle
Blister Beetle commented on by Madison7 Αποκεντρωμένη Διοίκηση Ηπείρου - Δυτικής Μακεδονίας, Greece7 years ago

Although the patterns on this bug is appealing to the eye, these beetles are one of the most damaging of the blister beetles to vegetable crops in the area. It prefers to feed on several common crops and fruits. It also has been guilty in the transmission of bean pod mottle virus to soybean.

It`s incredible to watch these creatures fly in sync with one another. I wonder how they travel so flawlessly.
