Thanks Polilla and Les. There are lots of other photos that I still need to upload. The second image is of the alpha male. You will notice a silver colouration to the fur, much like the alpha male of the Silverback gorilla! This spider was spotted on a night safari tour in the proximity of the main resort (Mutiara Taman Negara). This sighting remains unidentified.

Hi Ava. This encounter happened a number of years ago on a game drive in Chobe National Park in Botswana. The driver got a bit too close for the elephants liking, hence the aggressive stance. And yes, we were eventually charged!

Hi Malcolm, this was taken during a guided night walk on the upper banks of the Kinabatangan River in Sabah, Malaysian Borneo. It was a wet night and the bird was resting alone. The bill was pretty straight.
